While it would have been a better idea to just download the original video using something like JDownloader, it did not work for this video (using the latest version of JDownloader as of 2023-06-12). I used SimpleScreenRecorder, and played (and recorded) the YouTube livestream on my 2nd monitor @ 1920x1080, 30 fps. I used the FFV1 video codec and FLAC for the audio, when recording. If you have enough HDD space, it's a good idea to record using lossless codecs as it reduces the chance for dropped frames and lag in general. Once the recording is done, you can encode to lossy and more space-efficient codecs. While the quality / bitrate I chose may seem like overkill, or unnecessarily high, I chose it to preserve all of the A/V information and to not introduce any additional compression artifacts. The file size is a bit bloated, but this is the best I could do without being able to access the source video file directly.
